Private Idaho

Good Evening. This weekend I went to Idaho to see the potatoe harvest. I didn't get many pictures of that event as I was driving a 10-wheeler, but I did get some great shots while I was home. This first shot was taken to be placed in the JPG Magazine Category "Ant's Eye View" Gavin had fun with this shot I think.

I'm pretty sure there's never been a cuter Lady Bug than London.

Now we move on to the Old Town Tunnel since its bloody creepy and Halloween is approaching.

And Finally I try my hand at Abstract. Ok, this was actually an accident, but I like how it turned out.

"New American Classic"

I recently discovered American Fork Canyon. It's Gorgeous! I didn't know such beautiful places existed around here. Katrina and I have gone up there the last couple weekends to take photos.

Also recently I discovered The Grand American Hotel in Salt Lake City. It is a beautiful five star hotel right in the heart of downtown. Katrina and I took a trip up during a storm last week.

"Against The Grain": Pinhole Photography Experiment #1

The following pictures are my first attempt at pinhole photography. Pinhole photo's are taken without the use of a lens. A pinhole "lens" is created by putting a tiny hole (no bigger than the tip of a needle) through a piece of aluminum (cut from an empty Shasta can in this case) and attaching it to the front of the camera. It is nearly impossible to see anything through the viewfinder of the camera, so you never know what your framing looks like, and images require very long exposure times (the final two images here took 30 seconds each, props to Katrina for her ability to hold extremely still!). The result is a very raw, gritty, low-fi image. Here are the results of my first pinhole experiment.

Do Re Mi

Welcome to my new blog everybody! My name is Logan Kendell. This is my photography blog. Here will be everything from travel shots to weddings to pictures of weird stuff I saw driving home from the grocery store. Anything goes. I work primarily in Utah, but love to travel.
I've been putting off my first post cause I was having decisiveness issues. I've decided just to jump right in and post. In the future I'll probably post highlights from my shoots as they happen. In this post I'm going to post some of my favorite shots spanning the last 2 or three years. No rhyme or reason to it. I appreciate comments, so comment away.
